As companies scramble to find a place to succeed in the gift card arena, CashStar’s co-founder and CEO, David Stone, explained that CashStar’s combined B2B digital gifting network platform, which includes over 200 brands like The Home Depot, CVS, Starbucks, The Gap, and Walmart, enable their customers like Great Lakes Scrip Center, Bridge2Solutions, Viggle, National Gift Card, and Ovation Incentives, to have complete “control over the entire process and can order eGift Cards in real-time with no inventory or volume commitments, issue cards in any denomination, and activate cards instantly.” CashStar’s latest innovative program by Starbucks Living Social promotion “is the largest gift card prepaid promotion ever run in a 24-hour period,” Stone commented.
As the end-of-year holiday season approaches, many customers “are finding innovative ways to use eGifts as a form of social currency,” said Stone. For example, eGifts will be marketed through customer rewards and loyalty gifts for friends and family members who become customers. CashStar is already working with retailers to offer promotions for the upcoming holiday season.
