The retailer partnered with CashStar for the B2B ecommerce platform
Fashion retailer Nordstrom is bolstering its B2B gift cards offerings. The Seattle-based company announced earlier this month that it has partnered with prepaid commerce solution provider CashStar to introduce Gift Cards for Business. The ecommerce platform will allow Nordstrom to sell plastic and digital gift cards to businesses for their incentive, loyalty, and other corporate programs.
The program aims to provide organizations a more streamlined process for ordering Nordstrom Gift Cards and overseeing their receipt and redemption. Organizations using the program will now be able to manage their own orders, loading cards with any denomination between $5 and $2,000. It allows for easy order tracking and reports on purchase history, as well as a simplified checkout program with payment and shipping information saved to a company’s account for future orders.
“Launching our Gift Cards for Business program gives Nordstrom a great opportunity to connect with and better serve business-to-business customers,” said Sean Burrow, director, gift card at Nordstrom, in a statement. “CashStar’s platform will help us to provide expanded ordering options, faster fulfillment and improved account management.”
The offering aims to allow the retailer to more rapidly expand its presence in the B2B space. It has been working with CashStar since the holiday season of 2015, when it partnered with the company to add more personalization to its consumer-facing digital gift card program. It deepened its use of CashStar Consumer by expanding this personalization and engagement initiatives into its plastic gift cards as well. The launch of Gift Cards for Business expands these efforts into the enterprise and incentive space.
