Nordstrom is making it even easier for its online customers to pick out the perfect holiday gift.

NordstromThrough its partnership with CashStar, the department store chain now features Product eGifting, a platform that enables customers to visit Nordstrom.com, select a gift and send it, along with a personal message, via email. Shoppers select a product and enter the recipient’s email to send the e-gift. Recipients receive an email that contains a personal message and gift description.

Upon receiving the message, the recipient is prompted to personalize their details like item size, color and shipping address. They also have the option to swap the gift for a digital gift card — and without having to notify the sender, Nordstrom said.

“Starting with the holiday season, Nordstrom is offering customers e-gifting as another easy way to pick a thoughtful gift for anyone on their list on short notice,” said Sean Burrow, director, gift card at Nordstrom. “Once the recipient receives it, they can personalize the gift to tailor to their needs or if they prefer, select another gift or opt to receive the value as a gift card.”
